Chalk & Wire ePortfolio subscription accounts

Students can purchase Chalk & Wire accounts at the Duke University Computer Store. Accounts are available in various durations to support a variety of academic program needs. For pricing, contact the Duke Computer Store (http://www.dukestores.duke.edu/compstore/contact_cpustore.php). 

If you've purchased a student account, you should receive a welcome e-mail within 48 hours regarding your account. You can then access the following URL to activate your ePortfolio: http://www.chalkandwire.com/duke.

If you have activation problems, please contact the Chalk & Wire administrator at chalkandwire@duke.edu.

Faculty and staff requiring accounts can request accounts by filling out the account request form

All new users of Chalk & Wire should follow the procedures outlined on the Quick Start for New Users web site. You can also find up to date instruction on the Chalk & Wire Help web site.

Chalk & Wire Support

Trinity Technology Services (TTS) coordinates Duke's Chalk & Wire implementation.

  • TTS provide support for account creation/management. Individual accounts are purchased through the Duke Computer Store and TTS creates accounts based on sales information provided by the stores. 
  • TTS coordinates bulk purchasing of accounts via the Duke Computer Store. Departments can use Duke funds to purchase accounts for programs and TTS coordinates that effort with the stores.
  • TTS coordinates campus communication with end users on scheduled upgrades and on-site training sessions run by Chalk & Wire if requested.

Faculty and staff interested in using the software should contact the Office of Assessment to build rubrics and form an assessment plan for using Chalk and Wire. 

The Center for Instructional Technology provides training and support on Chalk and Wire for faculty and staff using the software and coordinates with TTS and Chalk and Wire on support. 

Students with questions should contact Chalk and Wire or consult the help and FAQ pages in Duke's Chalk and Wire site.
